A proposal to add $1 million to the Board of Education budget will go before the Norwich Council on Monday night. The Council is expected to discuss scheduled resolutions and other verbal proposals before voting on the 2019-2020 budget, which would take effect on July 1. The $1 million is proposed by Republican Alderman Bill Nash. His proposal would add 0.57 mills to the general tax rate and 0.08 mills to the City Consolidated District's taxes.
